We started with a monthly AI literacy workshop — 90 minutes, focused on prompt engineering and understanding AI capabilities. The first few sessions were basic but it built the foundation. Six months in, our team is now experimenting with new tools on their own and sharing what works in a Slack channel. The biggest insight: people don't need deep technical training, they need to see how AI fits their specific work.

Coursera and DeepLearning.ai have great free courses. We created role-specific learning paths — what marketing needs to know about AI is different from what engineering needs. The mistake we made initially was sending everyone to the same general AI course. Better to curate 2-3 specific resources per role and let people go at their own pace.
